Regardless of our individual traits, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, beliefs, physical appearance, job or where we are from, we are all part of the same species. We have more things in common than things that make us different and no one owns anybody else.
That said, for me, people are not completely defined by just one trait or characteristic. People are rarely social stereotypes. Behind each person there is a unique story that we don't know about and we have no right to judge them at all.
Everyone has a right to choose how they want to live their lives without other people meddling into their affairs, sharing unwanted opinions or putting their nose in private matters.
The key is respect. Mutual respect. If what someone else is doing doesn't affect you or anybody else, respect their decision. That way, when you want to do something that doesn't hurt anybody, they should respect your decision as well. Also, above all else: respect yourself. Respect your own decisions.
Sometimes we are the ones labeling and judging ourselves. We pretend to be something different, we are not true to ourselves and we lose sight of our essence. Discovering our essence is what will lead us to discover who we really are.
From now on, in this blog, I will share, little by little, things about who I really am. I will tell you, among other things, about my job, my sexuality, I will share my knowledge, my experience and everything else I feel like sharing with you.
Hope to see you there!
